Selden College seeks to admit students who:
1.       are mission-aligned (committed to the worship of God, growing in virtue, and advancing in learning), and in agreement with, and committed to, the Christian ethos and character of the college.
2.       will not only contribute to the educational experience at the college, but will also shape the student culture of the college in keeping with its Christian identity.
3.       are intellectually able to undertake the rigorous three-year course of study that is broad in scope as well as specific with regards to the intellectual habits required to succeed.

Please note:
There are no formal examination requirements beyond the Selden College entrance exam and interview.

Step 1
• All applicants will need to confirm that they have read, understand, agree with and will abide by the Selden College Student Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.
• No student will be admitted without two academic references and one pastoral reference. The pastoral referee should be the student's current pastor (or equivalent).
• Students will need to submit a recent piece of academic work as part of the application process.
• Students under the age of 18 at the time of application will need a parent's signature to confirm contents of application as well as an acknowledgement that Selden College will not act in loco parentis should the student be admitted.

Admissions Process

Step 1
• Fill in the application form as comprehensively as possible (link below).
• Make sure you have read and understood all the attached policies and procedures, including the statement of faith and code of conduct, as they all form part of the College/student contract if an offer is made and accepted.
• Provide the email and phone number for your academic and pastoral referees.
• Submit the application form and any uploaded work/documents.
• Pay the £25.00 non-refundable application fee. No application will be considered if the fee has not been paid.

Step 2
• Once the college has assessed your application you will be informed by email whether you have been successful in proceeding to the Selden College examination and interview, and the college will take up your references.

Step 3
• Attend the entrance examination and interview. The Selden College entrance examination is three hours long and includes a language aptitude test, reading comprehension, creative writing exercise and an essay. The interview will be a 30-60 mins interview with two members of the Selden College admissions committee.
• Within a month of the examination and interview Selden College will inform all applicants whether they have been accepted or not to the college. Those who have been accepted will receive a formal offer and will have a specific time period in which to accept the offer (signing the paperwork and paying a deposit) and so enter into a formal contract with the college.
